On Thursday evening, former President Donald Trump used his Truth Social platform to criticize FBI Director Christopher Wray following his congressional testimony about the assassination attempt on Trump.
During the hearing, Wray stated that he was unsure whether Trump was struck by a bullet while at an outdoor rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, on July 13.
“Regarding former President Trump, there’s some uncertainty about whether it was a bullet or shrapnel that hit his ear,” Wray mentioned during the hearing.

Trump, who appointed Wray as FBI director in 2017, unleashed a barrage of criticism on his former appointee after the hearing.
“FBI Director Christopher Wray informed Congress yesterday that he was unsure whether I was struck by shrapnel, glass, or a bullet (the FBI never even investigated!), yet he confidently claimed that Crooked Joe Biden is physically and cognitively ‘uneventful’ – Incorrect!” Trump expressed on his social media platform.
“This is why he remains oblivious to the terrorists and criminals flooding into our country at unprecedented rates. His primary focus is targeting J6 Patriots, raiding Mar-a-Lago, and shielding Radical Left Lunatics, like those in D.C. tearing down American flags and defacing our national monuments – with no consequences.

“No, it was, unfortunately, a bullet that hit my ear, and it did so with force. The hospital confirmed it was a ‘bullet wound to the ear,’ and that is the truth. It’s no wonder the once-respected FBI has lost the trust of the American people!”
Trump was shot in his right ear during the rally, and U.S. Secret Service agents quickly surrounded him, lifted him off the stage, and escorted him down the stairs to a waiting vehicle.

The suspected shooter, 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks, was killed by the Secret Service. Two others were injured during the gunfire, and former firefighter Corey Comperatore lost his life at the scene while protecting his family.
Trump received treatment and was discharged from a nearby hospital, appearing at the Republican National Convention just days later with a bandage on his ear.
Kimberly Cheatle, the Secret Service director at the time, faced calls for her resignation, which she strongly opposed. Following her testimony to Congress this week, Cheatle ultimately resigned.
Wray now finds himself under similar scrutiny, including from House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La.
“We’ve all seen the footage, the analyses, and heard from various sources that confirm a bullet penetrated his ear. I don’t think it matters significantly, though,” Johnson stated during the hearing.

Johnson added that Wray “was not forthcoming with some critical information that we anticipated.”
“There’s a rising tide of frustration and concern regarding the leadership within these agencies,” Johnson remarked.
