Senator Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., advocated for establishing a pathway to citizenship for millions of undocumented immigrants on Sunday, asserting that Vice President Kamala Harris is the leader capable of making it happen.

Warren shared her views during a Sunday morning segment on CNN’s “State of the Union” with host Jake Tapper, who challenged her to justify the immigration strategies of the Biden-Harris administration, which have faced significant disapproval.

“I shouldn’t have to remind you that voters largely disapprove of the way the Biden-Harris administration has managed border issues,” Tapper stated. “By choosing one of the key figures in the border efforts as the nominee, are Democrats not reinforcing one of your party’s major weaknesses?”

“Border crossings have decreased compared to the final year of the Trump presidency. However, it’s important to recognize – and I’m certain that Kamala Harris understands – this is an issue that ultimately must be addressed by Congress,” Warren replied.

“We require the necessary resources to strengthen border support, as well as assistance in the states and cities accommodating migrants. I believe that establishing a pathway to citizenship is essential. This is all part of the comprehensive immigration reform we need. I am confident that Kamala Harris will collaborate with Congress to accomplish this,” she concluded.

“Worst of all, Kamala Harris would willingly dismantle every safeguard we have to prevent them from voting,” Vance remarked at his Saturday rally in Minnesota. “She aims to give control of our nation to individuals who don’t belong here. We cannot allow that. And I have a straightforward message for the millions of undocumented individuals in this country who shouldn’t be here: If you are present, start making plans to leave because Donald J. Trump is returning to the White House.”
