Jennifer Garner made her debut at the renowned San Diego Comic Con this year, almost missing the event due to a malfunctioning elevator.

The actress, present to support her cameo in “Deadpool and Wolverine,” shared several videos chronicling the incident on her Instagram, captioned, “Baby’s first Comic Con: a short story.”

Starting her video two minutes into being stuck, Garner said, “Hey guys, we’re stuck on this elevator. I need, um, I could really use a Wolverine, I could use a Deadpool. I could use someone.”

When another person suggested finding stairs, she agreed, initially signing off with, “Thanks for having us here. My first Comic Con. Bye for now!”

At the one-hour mark, Garner heard noise and beeping, signaling potential repairs. She began softly singing Madonna’s “Like A Prayer,” a song featured prominently in “Deadpool and Wolverine.”

Finally, after one hour and twelve minutes, firefighters arrived to open the elevator doors, which prompted cheers from both Garner and her team.

Fox News Digital reached out to Garner for her thoughts on the incident.

While the precise timing of the elevator mishap is unclear, Garner eventually made it to the Hall H screening on Thursday night for “Deadpool & Wolverine,” featuring Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman.

Garner’s involvement in the film was kept largely under wraps until its release, when she and fellow stars like Chris Evans, Channing Tatum, and Wesley Snipes joined on stage post-screening to discuss their cameos.

The 52-year-old actress reprised her role as Elektra from the 2003 film “Daredevil,” which featured her ex-husband Ben Affleck, as well as its spin-off, “Elektra.”

In “Deadpool & Wolverine,” Garner makes a joke about Affleck, whom she was married to from 2005 until 2018.

When Reynolds’ Deadpool character learns that some previous Marvel characters in the narrative did not survive, including Affleck’s Daredevil, he extends his condolences. Garner’s Elektra responds with a shrug, saying, “Oh, it’s fine.”
