- Rasmus Hojlund and Leny Yoro sustained injuries during the match against Arsenal in LA
- Erik ten Hag announced that both players will have their injuries assessed
Manchester United is anxiously awaiting medical updates on Rasmus Hojlund and Leny Yoro after both were forced to leave the 2-1 loss against Arsenal at the SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles.
Hojlund opened the scoring for United in the 10th minute but had to exit just five minutes later due to what looked like a hamstring issue. When asked about his condition as he walked towards the team bus, Hojlund simply stated: ‘We’ll see.’
Yoro, making his second appearance following a £59 million transfer from Lille, left the field in the 33rd minute after receiving care on the pitch.
Manager Erik ten Hag commented: ‘Naturally, it’s too early to draw conclusions, and we’ll need to wait at least 24 hours before we have more information. We took extra precautions with Leny since he had participated in only half of the training sessions. Let’s remain optimistic and see what the results reveal.’
Ten Hag expressed his dissatisfaction with the equalizing goal from Arsenal’s Gabriel Jesus, who appeared to be offside when he scored in the 26th minute, before Gabriel Martinelli secured the victory late in the game.

New signing Leny Yoro was also substituted in the first half of the defeat against Arsenal

Manager Erik ten Hag confirmed both players will have their injuries evaluated
‘I was impressed with the quality of play for the third week of pre-season from both teams, but I felt we were the stronger side in the first half,’ Ten Hag remarked. ‘We scored a brilliant goal, thanks to an excellent pass from (Marcus) Rashford, and Hojlund executed a great play with his finish. I was very satisfied with our performance. We created additional good opportunities before conceding a goal that should have been ruled offside.’
‘The second half was different with a mixed team, and it was their first time playing together. One player, James Scanlon, was positioned at full-back for the first time ever, facing seasoned Premier League players, which presents its challenges. Overall, I believe the team delivered a solid performance, and we could have secured a draw.’
