Former NBA icon Dwyane Wade sparked conversations on Sunday during the U.S. men’s basketball team’s match against Serbia at the Paris Olympics with a comical pronoun quip.
Wade delivered the joke twice in the game’s first half and again during the third quarter.

“Y’all know his pronouns – he/him!” Wade remarked about LeBron James in the first half.
Following James’s strong layup in the third quarter, Wade commented, “America, you know him as LeBron James; I know him personally. His pronouns are he/him.”
Wade made similar remarks while discussing Kevin Durant, as the tall shooter began to find his rhythm. Durant ended the first half with 21 points.

Wade’s playful commentary started to generate reactions across social media.
The Basketball Hall of Famer, recognized for three NBA championships with the Miami Heat and a gold medal with the “Redeem Team” at the 2008 Olympics, is providing commentary for the men’s team games at the Olympics alongside Noah Eagle.
The U.S. team aspires for its 17th Olympic championship, entering group play with a talented roster comprising James, Durant, Stephen Curry, and Joel Embiid.
