In his heart, he’ll always feel forever young.
Rod Stewart has stated that as he approaches his 80th birthday in January, his outlook on living life to the fullest remains unchanged.
Even though thoughts of death don’t occupy his mind, he is conscious about what lies ahead in the coming years as he concludes his 13-year residency in Las Vegas this August.
“I know that my days are limited, but I have no fear,” Stewart shared with the US Sun. “We all must pass on at some time, so we are all in the same situation.”

Stewart is expected to conclude his 13-year Las Vegas residency at Caesar’s Palace in August, but time will determine what’s in store for this rock icon.
“I’m aware my days are numbered, but I have no fear.”
“I’m not like I was in the ’70s and ’80s; I can’t party all night, get drunk, and still perform without a hitch,” he reflected. “Now, I have to care for my voice before and after each show.”

He continued, “As you age, that becomes even more important. Staying hydrated is crucial, but you think I only drink water? This is Rod Stewart we’re talking about, mate. We celebrate after every show. There are 13 of us, six talented women, and I encourage them to indulge. We have a blast.”
Despite his rockstar lifestyle on stage, Stewart, who has overcome prostate and thyroid cancer, admits to being “more conscious of my health now than ever.”

“He’s not your typical 79-year-old. He can’t sit still and is always active. I enjoy treating myself to a facial or massage, but he can’t do those things. He can’t sit for a massage for more than half an hour; he just gets up and leaves.”
