Despite experiencing a calf injury during the qualification round, Simone Biles is set to participate in all four events for the U.S. team finals at the Paris Olympics on Tuesday night.
Biles was seen hobbling off the floor following a calf injury sustained during warmups. However, she persevered and achieved scores in the last three events of the round after trainers applied tape to her left foot before she competed in floor, vault, and the uneven bars.

Coach Cecile Landi provided some positive news regarding Biles’ injury, stating that it is considered minor and that there are no intentions to keep her from competing in the Olympics.
“I can’t put into words how proud I am of her for what she’s overcome and how she’s showcasing her abilities to the world,” Landi remarked.
Biles will take her turns last for the U.S. on vault, floor, and balance beam, and will compete second on the uneven bars.

Jordan Chiles, who ranked fourth in the all-around during the qualifiers, just behind Biles, Brazil’s Rebeca Andrade, and Suni Lee, will also compete in all four events.
Biles is recognized as one of the most accomplished American Olympians ever. Her experience with the “twisties” at the Tokyo Olympics ignited a broader conversation regarding mental health issues as she withdrew from several significant events.
