Stephen Nedoroscik, Paul Juda, and Brody Malone delivered exceptional performances on the pommel horse, securing a bronze medal for the United States men’s gymnastics team at the Paris Olympics on Monday.
Nedoroscik finished as the final competitor on the pommel horse, achieving a score of 14.866, the best among all gymnasts. Juda earned a score of 13.900, while Malone scored 13.700.

As the gymnasts observed their opponents finishing, Frederick Richard and his fellow teammates began to sing “The Star-Spangled Banner.”
The American gymnasts received overwhelming support as the crowd chanted “U-S-A!” following several gymnasts’ performances.
Japan claimed the gold medal, with China taking the silver. Both Great Britain and Ukraine narrowly missed securing at least a bronze medal.

Every gymnast had to deliver an outstanding performance to secure a spot on the podium.
Asher Hong set high scores on the rings with 14.533 and on the vault with 14.833. Richard scored 14.566 on the parallel bars, 14.833 on the horizontal bar, and 14.466 on the floor exercise.
Juda and Malone needed near-perfect scores on the pommel horse, and they rose to the occasion, setting the stage for Nedoroscik’s expert routine.

The men’s team victory marked the first bronze medal for the Americans since the 2008 Beijing Olympics. The U.S. secured bronze behind China and Japan, following silver in 2004 and gold in 1984.
