Team GB has triumphantly retained their Olympic gold in the men’s 4x200m freestyle relay, with James Guy, Duncan Scott, Matt Richards, and Tom Dean shining in Paris, finishing with a time of 6:59:43.
The team was considered the favorite, having recorded the fastest heat time of 7:05.11 to advance to the final.
Guy made a strong start for Team GB, keeping pace with America’s Luke Hobson, while Germany and Japan were also competitive.
He reached the 100m mark first and continued to push forward, enabling Dean to take the lead into the first changeover.
Dean maintained pressure but slightly fell behind during the exchange as Germany intensified their effort and Australia began to recover from a slow start.
