The Chicago Bears are eager to secure wide receiver DJ Moore’s future, granting him a four-year contract extension valued at $110 million, as reported by several sources.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the deal features a staggering $82.6 million in guarantees, with an average annual value of $27.5 million that ranks him seventh among wide receivers in the NFL.
Moore’s contract marks the richest in Bears history.

Moore is under contract with the Bears through the 2029 season, having previously played on a three-year, $61.9 million deal with the Carolina Panthers before his trade two years ago.
Although he was set to hit free agency in 2025, his contract was not an immediate concern for general manager Ryan Poles.

However, in light of the contracts being offered to wide receivers around the league, with five players expected to earn over $30 million per season, the Bears’ decision to sign Moore now could be a strategic move to save money while keeping a key offensive player satisfied.
Moore had an outstanding first season with the Bears in 2023, recording 96 receptions for 1,364 yards and eight touchdowns – all personal bests despite having three previous 1,100-yard seasons with the Panthers.
With Caleb Williams, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, poised to lead the Bears this season and beyond, the organization clearly anticipates that Moore will become his go-to target for years to come.

Moore is known for his speed, precise routes, and reliable hands, particularly in challenging catch situations. Former Bears quarterback Justin Fields often relied on Moore for big plays last season, and he consistently delivered.
The focus now shifts to veteran wide receiver Keenan Allen, whom Poles acquired in a trade from the Los Angeles Chargers this offseason.
Allen is known for his dependability, having surpassed 100 receptions in four of the last five seasons, but durability has been a concern given he missed 11 games over the past two seasons due to injuries.
Despite a struggling Chargers team last season, Allen still managed to secure 108 of his 150 targets for 1,243 yards and seven touchdowns while playing with Justin Herbert.
