Growing up in the Dallas-Forth Worth area, Moore initially participated in gymnastics and competitive cheerleading before focusing on track and field.
She began with the triple jump and later added long jump due to its similarities.
“My main goal was always to get a free college education through a scholarship,” she mentioned.
She received a scholarship offer from Georgia, joined, and later transferred to Florida after two years.
Moore has utilized this scholarship to become a seven-time NCAA champion.

Moore competed at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games, finishing 12th in the qualifying round for the triple jump.
This time, she will also take part in the long jump. While she is making history by competing in both the triple jump and long jump, she regards it as a normal achievement.
Switching between events is common at high school and college levels, but it’s unprecedented at the Olympic level.
Moore wasn’t even aware she was making history; her main objective was simply to qualify for both events.

“I feel like triple jump is my specialty,” she commented. “I believe I have a lot of potential in that event. When everything falls into place, I enjoy it even more. Long jump, on the other hand, is exhilarating because you get to soar through the air without thinking about all the phases.”
Moore, whose parents were both collegiate track athletes, will be supported by her whole family during the competition. She’ll also be cheering for her boyfriend, Joseph Fahnbulleh, a three-time NCAA champion from Florida whom she met at the Tokyo Games, as he competes for gold in the men’s 200 meters.

What has she learned throughout this journey?
“This experience has shown me, ‘Oh, I am capable of doing this, so I don’t have to choose,’ which is the most thrilling aspect,” she remarked.
