Bryony Page of Great Britain has completed her collection of Olympic medals with gold in women’s trampoline.
The 33-year-old athlete earned a surprising silver in Rio eight years ago and added a bronze in Tokyo, but entered this event as the reigning world champion and favorite for gold.
Page was the second-to-last gymnast to perform in the final at Bercy Arena, and she broke down in tears of joy when her score of 56.480 was announced.
Viyaleta Bardzilouskaya from Belarus became the first neutral participant to medal at the Games, taking silver, while Canada’s Sophiane Methot secured bronze.
Page, who clinched the world title in 2021, qualified for the final with the fifth-best score, anticipating that others would struggle to exceed their qualifying marks.
