Stewart’s career faced a significant setback in 2004 when she served five months in prison followed by five months of house arrest.
This was related to her involvement in insider trading in December 2001 when she sold her significant stake in ImClone Systems just before they announced unfavorable news.
After completing her sentence, Stewart gradually re-entered the public eye.
She has continued her television presence through shows like “Martha Bakes” and “Bakeaway Camp with Martha Stewart.”
