A unique albino alligator has emerged from a successful breeding initiative aimed at producing albino gators.
This pale alligator is the newest member of Wild Florida’s Gator Park in Kenansville.
The little reptile’s parents are also present at the park where their eggs were incubated in a climate-controlled environment.

“We take great pride in the parents, Snowflake and Blizzard, who continue to defy the odds and offer a unique experience to visitors,” said Andrew Ayala, a member of Wild Florida’s “croc squad,” in a press statement.
The eggs were monitored in an incubator by the dedicated team.

“While it’s nearly impossible for albino alligators to reach maturity in the wild, Wild Florida is committed to providing these animals with an optimal environment to flourish,” noted Wild Florida in its announcement.

The last hatching from Snowflake and Blizzard took place in the summer of 2022.

The couple has been residing at Wild Florida for seven years.
Albino alligators are incredibly rare, with Wild Florida estimating between 100 and 200 in the entire world.

These alligators exhibit their albinism through their distinctive white skin and ruby-red eyes, attributed to the lack of melanin.
