Authorities have taken into custody “Bachelorette” alum James McCoy Taylor on Sunday in Texas, as confirmed by Fox News Digital.

Officers from the College Station Police Department apprehended Taylor at a bar in Northgate based on warrants issued by the Bryan Police Department, according to Public Information Officer David Simmons.

The Bryan Police Department filed charges against Taylor for assault causing bodily injury and unlawful restraint on April 24. However, he was not booked until August 4, as per Brazos County jail records.

The details surrounding the incident on April 24 that resulted in the charges remain unclear. Taylor’s representatives have not yet responded to requests for comment from Fox News Digital.

This is not Taylor’s first encounter with the law.

The Texas-based musician was arrested on September 10, 2022, for driving while intoxicated. At that time, he also faced charges for unlawful possession of a weapon. An officer observed Taylor urinating in a parking lot and noted his visible intoxication, according to the arrest warrant obtained by KBTX.

The officer advised Taylor against driving; however, he was later seen again behind the wheel, maneuvering through a parking garage.

At the time of the incident, Taylor had an 18-year-old in the vehicle with him who was also impaired. According to police, she “was not in any kind of condition to appraise the benefits and risks of the situation she was in,” as stated in the warrant.

During a search of Taylor’s vehicle, authorities discovered a concealed handgun in the door. It is against the law in Texas to carry a weapon while committing a crime, such as driving while intoxicated.

Taylor was convicted on the charges and served five days in jail. He also received a $500 fine and was ordered to pay $585 in court costs, according to KBTX.
