Nicky Cadden has signed a three-year contract with Hibernian, reuniting with his twin brother Chris at Easter Road.
At 27 years old, the left winger joins the club as a free agent following a two-year spell at Barnsley.
Cadden began his football career with Airdrieonians and went on to play for Livingston, Morton, and Forest Green Rovers before making a move to Oakwell in 2022.
Head coach David Gray expressed his admiration, stating, “Nicky is a player I have always respected. He brings exceptional quality, reliability, and embodies what it means to be a top professional.”
Gray added, “He understands the Scottish game well, delivers excellent balls into the box, and has consistently provided goals and assists throughout his career. I believe he will integrate smoothly into the team.”
Sporting director Malky Mackay referred to Cadden as an “incredibly versatile player,” highlighting that he brings “varied options in midfield and can also play at left-back.”
Chris Cadden, who operates on the right side, has been part of Hibs since 2021.
