Marcus Rashford exited Manchester United’s recent pre-season match in the United States, marking yet another setback for manager Erik ten Hag.
With Rasmus Hojlund sidelined for six weeks due to a hamstring injury, the Man United manager’s forward options have already been limited ahead of the upcoming season.
Ten Hag now faces concerns over Rashford’s fitness after the player was substituted during a 3-2 friendly victory against Real Betis.
The 26-year-old left the pitch shortly after the hour mark at Snapdragon Stadium in San Diego.
Rashford received treatment after sustaining an ankle injury from a heavy tackle by Sergi Altimira.

The forward, likely to have been substituted shortly thereafter as part of a larger rotation, was seen walking off the field with physio Jordan Reece, appearing to be limping.
Following the injury, Rashford walked directly down the tunnel.
Post-match, the 26-year-old was spotted walking without assistance while signing autographs for fans outside the stadium.
