As Tori Spelling continues to manage her life amid the ongoing divorce from her ex, Dean McDermott, the mother of five is sharing her plans for funding her children’s college education.
In an episode of her “misSPELLING” podcast, Spelling mentioned to guest William Shatner that she might have to resort to OnlyFans to cover tuition costs.
Shatner was unaware of the platform, prompting Spelling to explain, “OnlyFans is a platform, I suppose. It started primarily with women in the industry—not sex workers per se—but something along those lines. Now, actresses are getting involved too.”

Shatner quipped, “When you say ‘not sex workers, but along those lines,’ it seems they either are or they aren’t. Are they looking for sexual encounters?”

Spelling went on to say, “There are comedians and chefs on the platform, producing videos that people can subscribe to. Many actresses are involved, often showing more than just their talents.”

She elaborated, “If you’re wearing a bikini or something revealing, subscribers can pay for more exclusive content, potentially even explicit images if that’s what the creator decides. Payments can be made using credit card, Cash App, or PayPal.”
“Everything showing?” Shatner pressed, to which Spelling replied, “If you want that, it’s up to you.”
Spelling and McDermott have five children together: Liam, 17, Stella, 15, Hattie, 12, Finn, 11, and Beau, 7.
She initiated divorce proceedings on March 29, stating June 17, 2023, as the date of their separation. The “Beverly Hills, 90210” alum is seeking spousal support from McDermott, while also requesting that the court does not grant him spousal support.
“So OnlyFans is a site I guess, originally, it was more women in the field—not sex workers—but along those lines, but now actresses do it.”
Spelling also requested full custody of their children along with joint legal custody.

In June, reports surfaced indicating that the couple owes $400,000 in delinquent debt related to a bank loan.
City National Bank is actively pursuing over $400,000 owed by Spelling and McDermott due to a breach of contract lawsuit initiated in 2016, as revealed in documents obtained by Fox News Digital.
A ruling from a Los Angeles County court shows Spelling owes $219,796.66, while McDermott is liable for $202,066.10 in accrued interest.

McDermott initially publicized the couple’s separation on Instagram in June but promptly deleted the post.
He wrote, “It is with profound sadness and an incredibly heavy heart that after 18 years together and five wonderful children, @torispelling and I have decided to part ways and embark on a new journey individually.”
Spelling and McDermott were both married to others when their paths crossed while filming “Mind Over Matter” in July 2005.

Spelling recounted in her 2009 memoir “sTORI Telling,” “It was love at first sight. I fell so hard… Then I saw his wedding ring. Oh right, I had a husband too. It was playful to flirt, but I never expected anything to materialize. But then Dean and I found ourselves at a bar after dinner, and we ended up spending the night at the Cartier Place.”
She continued, “The following morning, lying next to Dean, I felt no regrets. My marriage was in turmoil, and that was a glaring sign—not just because I was unfaithful, but because I didn’t feel guilty about it.”
