On Sunday, the Israeli Defense Forces reported finding “numerous suspicious aerial targets” crossing from Lebanon, which led Israel to deploy multiple interceptors to bring those targets down.
A press release from the IDF indicated that a fall was detected near the kibbutz Ayelet HaShahar, following the activation of sirens in the upper Galilee region.
Two IDF personnel, an officer and a soldier, sustained moderate injuries and were taken to a hospital for treatment. The families of those injured have been informed, according to the IDF.
Israel’s Fire Services are currently battling a fire that erupted in the area during the attack.

The IDF later clarified that the sirens activated in Kiryat Shmona and Kfar Giladi were a result of false identification.
Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari, the IDF Spokesperson, reported in a press briefing that Israeli forces are deployed in various areas, including Gaza, Lebanon, Judea, and Samaria, to counter potential threats.
In Gaza, the IDF is concentrating on identifying and dismantling underground infrastructure in the Rafah area and the Philadelphi Corridor. Hagari noted that dozens of tunnels have already been found and are being assessed, neutralized, and destroyed by the troops.
Hagari explained that while not all tunnels are currently active—some are outdated and have already been addressed—the IDF is working to neutralize all of them.
On Sunday morning, two Israeli citizens were reportedly killed and two others injured in a stabbing incident in Holon, as per Hagari’s statement. The attacker was neutralized at the scene by a police officer.

On Saturday, the IDF and the Israeli Securities Authority coordinated a response to an alert about a terrorist cell in the Tulkarm region of the West Bank, Hagari confirmed. The cell was reportedly en route to execute a terror attack but was eliminated by an aerial strike that targeted five terrorists in a vehicle.
Later that day, the IDF and ISA carried out a counter-terrorism operation in Tulkarm, resulting in the deaths of four terrorists who fired at Israeli forces. Ground troops supported these efforts, as noted by Hagari.
Following the mission, troops uncovered a significant cache of firearms, ammunition, and military vests. Hagari mentioned that many of these weapons are funneled into Judea and Samaria from Iran.
“For years, Iran has been supplying and financing terrorist groups throughout the Middle East, including smuggling explosives into Israel for attacks on civilians,” Hagari stated. “The IDF and ISA have successfully thwarted multiple attacks involving the smuggling of Claymore-type explosives into our territory. We are resolute in our intention to tackle Iranian terrorism wherever it arises.”

This follows the Hamas terrorists’ attack on October 7, which resulted in 1,200 fatalities and approximately 250 abductions. Many of the hostages remain held by Hamas.
“This evening, we also remember the 115 hostages taken by Hamas in the Gaza Strip,” Hagari commented. “We are devoted to ensuring their safe return—those alive to their families, and those who have passed will receive a proper burial in Israel. This is our commitment, and we will persist with great resolve in fulfilling it.”
According to the Hamas-run Gaza Health Ministry, over 39,000 Palestinians have died and more than 90,000 have been injured in the ongoing Israel-Hamas war in Gaza, although this figure does not distinguish between civilians and combatants.
