Mosab Hassan Yousef, author of “From Hamas to America,” expressed on Monday that Vice President Kamala Harris and the Biden administration have been too slow to address the escalating tensions in the Middle East, particularly between Israel and Iran.
Yousef, who defected to Israel in 1997 and converted to Christianity in 1999, is the son of Sheikh Hassan Yousef, one of the founders of Hamas.
“This is complete denial,” he stated during an appearance on Fox News’ “Hannity” on Monday evening. “This represents Kamala Harris’ decision to ignore the realities around her.”

“Why do they seek to legitimize Islamic violence as if it’s an accepted part of life and we must coexist with Islam in its current form?” Yousef questioned, taking aim at Harris’ comments on terrorism amidst recent Iranian threats to Israel. “The more we legitimize terrorism and violence, the more we fuel their appetite for bloodshed, and this cannot continue.”
Yousef claimed that the Biden-Harris administration has contributed to the deterioration of the Middle East conflict by not responding decisively.
“The current crisis, where we stand on the brink of a regional war, stems from the American administration’s indecision,” he said.

“Iran, or rather the Islamic Republic and the Ayatollah, do not solely target Israel,” Yousef added. “To them, America is the great Satan. They chant ‘death to America’ before even mentioning ‘death to Israel.’”
“This is not just a strategic adversary of the United States; in fact, Israel is combating on behalf of the U.S. in that area,” he affirmed. “After October 7, with this hesitancy toward the Middle East, we observe Iran nearing the acquisition of a nuclear weapon.”

“We bury our heads in the sand and allow them to progress,” Yousef declared. “They are dangerously close to developing a nuclear bomb. We risk providing the Ayatollah with a weapon of mass destruction while we stand by observing. The realities of his nuclear program are evident, yet we remain in complete denial. This is insanity!”
